creative women unite!

I've been so excited to share this on my blog-- I participate in an annual Christmas craft gift exchange each year.  One woman, Melanie Morris, has to be about the most clever, crafty, crazy quilting lady that I've come across.  (Note the alliteration in that previous sentence).  She has been quilting with the same group of women for 7 years, just a drop in the bucket considering her 21 years of quilting!  Well, for this Christmas gift exchange, she made 12 of these adorable pincushions out of my "Felicity" fabric.  Can I tell you how much I love this?!  She has also made the pincushions for each of her quilting friends.  What a sweetheart!

I love to see and share what people have made using my fabric, so if you have something to share, please contact me...

Spring Break in Moab!!

I took the week off with my kids and went to one of my favorite places on earth--Moab, Utah!  We had an amazing time with my friend and her two kids, as well as my parents.    We did it all--hiking in Arches, mountain biking, river-rafting, hot-tubbing, Jeep Safari week (testosterone-driven insanity)!  I have to give a plug to our hummer tour driver, Mike, from High Point Hummer.  I highly recommend that experience-- don't let the photo scare you off!  I can't wait to return soon... maybe next month if I'm lucky!

pirate pack

Boys love pirates, right?  What could be better than a "Pirate Pack"?  This is what I created for Horrible Harry-- my son Harrison's alter ego.  I'll have the pattern written soon, and available on the blog!

zoe may design

Here's a new design that I'm working on-- I've wanted to do something that is monochromatic.  It's against my nature to limit myself to only 3-4 colors for a design, because I'm passionate about color.  I ran into a quote that I quite like, and I like to think that it applies to me:  "The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love color the most."  Love it!

itsy bitsy facebook

This was a fun little book that I created using my own scrapbook paper (found at MyMemories).  Take three 6x6 inch sheets and fold them in half each way.  Then layer one corner on top of another and glue together.  Paste cute photos and phrases on the squares.  Finish by sewing a ribbon on the outside!  Makes a great gift, invitation or announcement!
