new addition to our family!

I'm so excited about our new addition to the family-- a darling Cocker Spaniel puppy named Maxwell!  My kids are over the moon about him, and he seems to be settling right in!

sneak peak at my next fabric line...

I've been out of town for a week enjoying a great time at Lake Powell with friends and my family, but alas, had to get back to work right away to finish up my next fabric collection: "Verona"  Here is a sneak peek at this next line that will be available the first quarter of the next year.

Horrible Harry's Pirate Pennant

Today I made this pennant for my son, using the leftover blocks that I made for his quilt and growth chart.  I think it's pretty cute, although as I hung it up to snap some photos, I realized I had made a big mistake!  Despite this (I'm not going to point it out, hoping that it's overlooked), I think it's a pretty cute use of my leftover fabric.  I'll be posting instructions for the pennant (super simple) in a day or so.

Kylene Moss Grell was the winner of a bundle of fat quarters from my "Domestic Diva" collection... Yeah!  Check in often for additional chances to win free fabric, and "Like" me on Facebook to be entered in to the drawings!

Apron by mom

My mom created this darling retro apron and fun hat for her friend's birthday!  Isn't it cute?!  My daughter loves to ham it up in an apron as well.  The hat pattern was created by Amanda Herring, of the Quilted Fish and is available for sale.  Check out her great blog at http://thequiltedfish.typepad.com/the-quilted-fish/  She does lots of cool tutorials on her blog.

New "X-Marks the Spot" Quilt pattern

I finally have the pattern written for my "X-Marks the Spot" quilt and growth chart!  It's such a lot of work to write out a pattern, but I'm very happy with this one.  My son loves his quilt and won't let me take it to display in any stores, so I'll be making at least one or two more to use as a store sample-- what will I do with the duplicates?  Maybe have another drawing...
