All Dolled Up quilt

As part of the group of designers that participated in the "All Dolled Up in Salt Lake City" event for quilt market, I designed an applique block for the quilt that was on display.  The majority of the blocks are available now for free at though this blog:  http://alldolledupinslc.blogspot.com/  Check it out, if you'd love some free instructions for the quilt!

Pinterest

I know I'm a little slow on the uptake for the latest cool stuff online, but I'm getting there!  I'm thrilled that I've just discovered and been invited to Pinterest.  It's a forum for cataloguing favorite images and ideas from the web.  Take a browse... I can't wait to get doing it myself! www.pinterest.com

Please, share your boards with me if you have them!

U2 concert last night!!

This is a little diversion from the other blog posts about fabric, family and design.  But I have to gush about the great U2 concert last night!  I almost didn't go because I have so much design work to get done this week, but I'm so glad that I did!  I squirmed my way into the very interior section of the stage-- so close that I made eye contact with the Edge!  I only wish I'd had my camera because my iPhone just didn't take great photos or video.  Even so, here are a few...

Quilt Market photos!

Quilt market seemed to be quite a success for Riley Blake Designs--at least based on my brief visit to their booth on Friday morning, not to mention the madness going on at sample spree on Thursday night!  I had the good fortune to head out on a trip to Hawaii with my husband the same day that market opened.  I'm sad that I missed the excitement of it being in my hometown, but I can't complain about my visit to Maui!  Here are a few shots of my "Pirates!" display in the Riley Blake booth contrasted with a few shots from my vacation...

my new quilt posse!

I had the privilege this week of having my friend Melaine Morris ("Felicity" pin cushion lady) bring some of her quilting friends to my home for a little tour of my studio.  We really hit it off-- they are a great bunch of women!  I look forward to having them as part of my team to give me suggestions, support, and to make quilts for me!

(kind of a mess right now, as I get ready for market!)

Here they are giving me a thumbs up on a few recent ideas that I've produced!  From left to right, Mary Porter, Holly Alden, Melanie Morris, and Cynthia Schindler.  I look forward to featuring some of their beautiful quilt projects... Thanks so much, ladies!!
